I had made one of those awhile ago. I didn't have a tarp, but I used some cut apart Tyvek envelopes, so whatever you have will work.Duct tape is so useful!

Beautiful bag! I'm sure you have thought of this already, but just in case you haven't: when I used to make diaper bags for the local pregnancy center I used this same idea with denim fabric, woven cotton belting, and a sewing machine. The only difference was the handle. I took the handle all the way under the bottom of the bag and up the other side and down under the bag again (it was a large circle/oval of woven cotton belting). I made sure the spot where the ends met was in an out of the way area. Of course I sewed them down but I'm sure this would work with your duct tape bag too. By having the straps go under the bottom of the bag I was sure they would not pull out if the bag got too heavy. Since you taped over the ends of your handles twice they are probably pretty secure but once the sun heats up the duck tape the glue can get soft and slide a little. By taking them clear under the bottom and back up they might move a little but they will still hold onto the bag.

Hello Lindsay, Cute idea and great to lift your spirits during this long winter you are having. I am wondering if you have gotten into doing pocket letters yet? I think I Will create some for my elderly friends and family that I seldom get to sèe. Could you do some miniature water color projects to include in pocket letters or any other fun ideas? Thank you for lol your creative ideas. ☺

Please let me know how this bag works when left in the hot sun. I have found the tape begins to get tacky and have had several incidences where it got on customers clothes of the company I used to work for.

I was thinking that the handles need brads to hold them stronger, for the weight of the water and food containers.

This is too cute! Hopefully you guys will be done with snow SOON! Completely off topic here and I think you covered this on another video but I can't find it. How can I get embossing powder off my Versamark embossing pad? Thanks!

***** I rinsed mine off and reinked it.

I have also used clear packing tape to lift it off, seems to work pretty well, too.

Are you sure those are beaches in Maine? Perhaps summer is just a dream between snowstorms. I hear the theme from the Twilight Zone. LOL

Lindsay, I tried to send you my support using my Ccard through your link but got a message saying there was a "technical issue" and to try later. Just FYI, there might be a problem with the Support Gizmo. :)

You could not buy a tarp and use one of the dog food bags or bird seed bags. I think those bags are really stronger than tarps. And it's recycling.
