Part 1 of my ebike battery making of.
Used 100 lion 21700 Samsung 40T, ended up a 20S 20AH battery.
The final design changed a lot of times, because the space inside my bike frame is small.
Hope it helps in your project. Any questions just ask in the comments, subscrive the channel, I'll upload more videos of the battery and the Ebike itself.

I think a battery pack is not a toy, not a kind of project where cutting corners, like hot-glueing them together is acceptable, compared to the size of the whole project, ordering some proper spacers is nothing, everyone should use proper battery spacers; First, they are flame retardant in theory at least, second the leave a small 1-2mm space between cells and let them naturally expand and contract as they charged or discharged, warmed or cooled down. That space is important for safety.

Hi. The battery in mu case runs at a very safe level, 80A peak, 50A constant, the battery can handle 200A, so it won’t heat that much. If your setup is different and you’ll use much more amps can heat more.

@@e-biker8406 that’s awesome thanks for the info I don’t plan to run more than 45A at 48v so this will be great as I can save a couple mm of room per cell and make it slightly more compact, thanks again!

@@CryoGenic I think you’ll be safe. Just wrap the battery really tight and make sure is well secure to the frame or battery box. At 45A the battery will be slightly warm.

How many amps would be this config......??Quick question, I just got a 72v battery pack 20s and believe is 6p, have 120 cells in it (liitokala 5000) but not sure how much amps really is as it doesn't have any labels.
@e-biker8406
@e-biker8406 Жыл бұрын
If is a litokala 26650 50-A, it has a 50A peak discharge, 6P will be 6X50A= 300A of peak discharge, ij the safe side I would consider 30A, so 150A of continuious discharge should be the battery max amperage.

Very nice! Is there a calculator on the web that can tell me how much batteries I need to make a certain voltage and capacity? Obviously I would also need to input the correct information per cell as well. Take care thanks!

There’s a calculator if you use used cells, the calculator shows you how to pair them. If you’re gonna use new cells you don’t need a calculator.

@@tone33012 it’s a 16S, 16 cells in series. For a 20Ah, just divide the 20Ah by the Ah of each cell, for example a 3000mah cell, 20/3 = 6.666 cells, so you need to make a group of 7cell in parallel and connect 16 of those groups in series, the battery will have 112 cells total.

Yes, all the casing is the negative, if the battery have a wrap like it's supposed to, you'll only have connection on the exposed part at the bottom of the battery.

My BMS have 80A of discharge, but the battery itself would be able to peak of 200A, 40A per cell X 5 cells. 200A is an abuse, 80A it’s more than enough for me.

Sir If i want 60v 20ah How much i have parallel
@e-biker8406
@e-biker8406 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, for a 60v battery you must have 16 in series. For the 20ah that vary with the cells you'll use, with a 3000mah cell you use 7 = 21ah total, to calculate you divide the total Ah you want by the Ah of the cell you'll use.
@Maxttor
@Maxttor 2 жыл бұрын
O valor máximo em AH total deve estar sempre abaixo da capacidade do BMS?
@e-biker8406
@e-biker8406 2 жыл бұрын
