I followed all the steps and went there back in March, thank you! Saved a lot of money that way. The only thing I missed is pre-buying the bus tickets, but that could not be helped coz I didn't have time to do this and the only place I could do this was Cuzco - I stayed in Urubamba. On the day of my visit I thus had to stand in line under rain for 45min for the bus ticket. There was only one counter and it's open-air and they were very slow. So if you can prebuy your bus ticket, I recommend you do so.

Where can you buy the tickets to go to Machu Picchu. Since you mentioned they are not sold at the entrance.

I loved your video but, I feel deep down that the Machu Picchu bus for $19 that there's probably a cheaper transportation. I think there was a lot of taking advantage of you cause, you were a tourist. I believe if you spoke spanish, that you would have not paid so much for things and this is the norm on traveling. I used to be a travel agent for 16 years and I always when getting around ANY town, found their local transit system and many guides fail to point these out especially guides that are the youth hostel type (eg. Globe trekkers, etc). I believe you can get from Cusco's airport to the plaza even cheaper. But, I applaud you on the altitude, and ticket procurements very wonderfully done. Whenever I travel I try to procure in advance as much of the attraction's tickets as possible and keep them in my wallet so I rarely have to visit any ticket office and avoid being taken advantage of when I arrive. Tourist boards are a valuable asset as well. In a future video I'd appreciate it if you can do a guide on this same place for handicap individuals- is it doable? Thanks again- all in all as in Ebay standards I give you 5 stars on doing this video.

You’re wrong. Only Cuzco residents get the cheapest lowest fares. Even Peruvians from Lima and else where pay a big chunk. But international tourist pays the most. Doesn’t matter if you speak Spanish, you will pay the fare unless your a resident of cuzco.
