How often do you have to change/re-new the ceramic wool?
@Johny40Se7en Жыл бұрын
Ceramic Wool seems like such a wonder material, both for insulation and fire lighting. Similar in properties as Carbon / graphite matting. Cheers.

How long does it burns before you have to refill the container with ethanol?🤔

A bit less that 2 hours. 1l of ethanol is for 4 to 8 hours,.... depending on what will be the size of the burning hole.

How long does it burn before you need to refill with ethanol?
@thegeordieweatherman84602 жыл бұрын
It depends on how big you want your flame. A large flame, from a big surface area will burn the fuel really fast. I make mine from 28mm copper pipe. For decorative purposes, I only cut out 15mm down the centre. For heat, a little bit more. I get my copper free from ex colleagues. That's only why I use it.

But you can try by yourself. Put some plastic bag to the table or floor and on the plastic ad that fireburner and after several hours check is is plastic melted.

@@cayrex Yikes, that is a very dangerous way to check. It almost sounds like put plastic down and in a few hours if your house is still there, it did not get too hot.

From my research they're clean burning fuel. You can burn inside but I'd set on a paver stone on a table away from kids and pets. Ventilate the area just the same, as well as a carbon monoxide detector just in case. They're shown on YT as bio fuel fireplaces or diy bio fuel fireplaces. Never refill with fluid when hot though accident waiting to happen. Always snuff out (deprive flame of oxygen) to put out flame. Let cool completely before adding more fuel.
