Very helpful video! I have to change my first hydraulic hose.

12:40 - it's not the size of the orifice, it's the size of the flare. Looks like 3/8" JIC in your right hand and 3/8 JIS on the machine. Get a couple plugs/caps to test your crimp fittings.

Thank you! My hose wore down the same way when rubbing against a grapehoe implement. roughly 250,000 rubs against a smooth steel cylinder every year wears down a hose, apparently. Haha

Don't use teflon on the npt or anything with an O-ring to seal it

Hydraulic Hose REPLACEMENT not REPAIR. A Hydrualic hose repair would be were you would cut it and place some sort of stint. This is a part change video.

You are technically correct... but I wonder how many DIYers have a hose connector crimping machine.
@robertthomasson78918 ай бұрын
@@mrdiyguy123 I looked at your video hoping to see a hose crimping machine. You should change the title to hose replacement, not repair.

Not in every case, but usually critical comments come from people who do not create content.
@trumptorianguard4617 Жыл бұрын
@@mrdiyguy123 negative comments usually come from simple minded people who totally miss the point and benefit of the lesson. When a wise man points to the moon, the fool stares at the finger.
