DIY eFoil - Rifle Case Build: 'Moquete' - First Test Run - Glorietta Bay - Coronado CA - 6-24-2023

This is the first time I had taken this board out, my second Rifle Case Build.
This is a video of the eFoil I had made from an eylar 44" rifle case purchased from Amazon.

How did you stiffen the inside of your case? Did you modify Surf n' Destroy's laser cut aluminum STEP file to fit your case or did you do something different? I ask because I plan to build a Surf and Destroy case type of efoil and am looking for more advice on that interior stiffener piece.

Hello @mikeandjim5428. Cool, that's great to hear! I did something different; primarily given the tools I had available. My approach was similar to this: foil.zone/t/surf-n-destroy-building-a-flying-sniper-rifle-case/11555/151 If you continue down from that post, you'll see my first build (the Apache 9800 case from Harbor Freight), and what it looked like inside. On my second build (Moquete), I reduced size and weight with a different case (Eylar 44") and I had used 2020 Aluminum Extrusion. Truth be told, neither of my builds are water tight. This is likely because I did not fasten the internal frame to the case anywhere else aside from the 4 screws mounting the mast plate to the closed end rivnuts inside. That fix is on my list to-do, and I will after I finish my second tow boogie build. Too many projects!! : ) You're welcome to reach me on the foil.zone forum. Nice build. Did you use the components from your tow boogie build?

The VESC, battery, mast and wing setup are interchangable with the black rifle case. The VESC and battery from the Tow Boogie are interchangable. The goal is that any two of the three can be used at one time (two rifle case eFoils or the tow boogie). The motor from the tow boogie is not setup to be interchangable. It's fixed to the tow boogie mast. ...so for next steps: I plan to source an additional mast/motor setup.
