DIY Electric Bicycle Conversion Using a DC Motor

Converting a bicycle into an electric bicycle, Yes in this video we are going to power a bicycle using a geared DC motor, a bunch of lithium ion cells and a custom made speed controller.
I have converted my bicycle to an electric powered bicycle using a geared DC motor that we have found from scrap. The motor we have used to power the bicycle is made for automated doors. The motor is attached to the rear wheel of the bicycle using a chain.
For the battery pack we are going to use 18650 lithium ion cells that we have salvaged from old hoverboard batteries. In total we have used two battery packs consisting of 40 cells. The battery pack is made 4 cells in paralle and 10 cells in series. The battery pack have a output of 84v and a capacity of 4.4ah.

No, it's terrible and it's dangerous and it is VERY poorly made. That motor can EASILY rip right out of the tubing he has screwed it into. FFS, he's got everything held together and affixed with wire ties! He super-glued the battery together. Everything about this bike is is a lesson in how not to do things. The guy is literally driving the bike through a friction brake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great video , i am also making a Brushed DC motor ESC and i think the problem u must have had is in operating for long time, the mosfet must have burnt out. using a mosfet of higher current rating can help.

What is the maximum voltage and current can that circuit handle continuously? I'm looking for an economical DC motor controller to handle a 2.75hp 130vdc about 20amp treadmill motor. 100vdc is 2hp. Thanks
