Excellent work. I have a suggestion that you should use LFP battery cells instead of normal Lithium ion batteries. LFP Cells have voltage of 3.2 Volts instead of 3.7 vols of normal Lithium Ion batteries. But LFP cells have a longer cycle life and is inherently more safe

All car speedometers are showing a slightly (5-10 %) higher speed than you are actually driving. I would trust the GPS-based speedometer more than the one in the car.

A piece should be clamped in a drill press, not held by bare hands. That is a good way to tear off a finger.

This setups works good, However, you could have mounted the Alternator right above the foot paddle sproket section, and could have built a Belt/Chain Drive with the Sproket/pully. This Could Have saved you a lot of extra mounting right on the wheel, and saving the protruding/hanging alternator near the rear wheel.

The speedo on your car will generally show a slightly higher speed than you're actually doing. Your GPS speedo has a better chance of being more accurate over an average straight mile. At least the number it shows you will be closer to the truth.

What if you use the small sprocket on the generator and the large sprocket on the engine and leave the motor in idle?
