That’s great, but we all know that torque and top speed suffer greatly when the battery drops to below 80%. Not to mention, you can’t really take these things to the max. When the battery is dead, you either have to have another $1500 battery on hand or you’re sitting there waiting hours for it to charge. All I need is an extra can to fill up. I can carry that with me if I’m riding through the mountains.

Question for anyone who may know: I absolutely love the power and the torque of my surron Ultrabee. The ONLY thing I dont like about it is the sound of the chain. I love my son's hub motor bike because it's completely quiet but it has nowhere near the power that the Ultra Bee does The only problem is I'm a heavy dude (250 lbs.) And I love going up steep hills. (I literally took my ultrabee up a ski mountain! ) I know that can be a problem with a hub motor (perhaps?) Is there a way that I can make the chain quieter or convert it to a belt drive or can I convert my ultra B to a hub motor using all the existing electronics and Battery? Thank you!
@TorxRaceworks27 күн бұрын
Hey man I’m a bike shop that works on ultra bees, to make my answer brief, no you cannot do a hub motor swap with the current electronics and it would have more negatives than positives even if you switched everything out. You can switch the secondary drive which is a chain to a belt the make the conversion kits online and the install isn’t terrible to do solo. Hope this helps

That's cool as hell and looks good, I'd call it more of a out bike myself though. And as I saw someone else comment 300nm of torque is just a tad over 221 ft lbs and you did say peak which usually means u don't hit that too often especially if u have it dialed back and aren't throttling it 109% but still 221 ft lbs does sound a bit exaggerated, but I def don't know for sure so I'm not gonna say anymore or argue it.
@SamLokiАй бұрын
220 * 0.35 = 77 ft-lbs of torque But it's probably less because the curve shouldn't be linear. ~60 to 65 ft-lbs peak maybe. And it takes even less than that to pop a bike that light
