I've been a general contractor / wood worker / DIYer for 20 plus years. The Wainscoting Layout Calculator has changed my life forever! The math / layout is always the worst part of the project for me. THANK YOU!!!

Love this video! What did you use for the trim?

What was the final depth on the side of the build? I’m considering side cabinets.

I really like this. I would stop at the ply wood stage and frame it. The battens are optional right? Thanks though, I’ve been trying to figure out how to spice up my rental! U laid everything out so perfectly.

Absolutely!

We are in the process of building ours but not sure how we make sure the edges are seamless where the plywood meets. Any suggestions?

Add corner trim pieces or do 45 degrees

Can you come to Columbus Ohio and do some for me . Is it possible
@Laprimaveraa Жыл бұрын
I am looking to do something similar. But was wondering is it possible to create something similar without ever poking any holes on the walls? Maybe a longer extrusion from the wall and a wider base on the floor?
@thebuildsociety Жыл бұрын
Possibly, but if you want it to reach the ceiling I would attach it to the wall. They sell TV stands with built in fireplaces on Amazon. Would be cheaper than building one yourself.

Super cool, I want to build almost the same cinewall do u know the dimensions of the wall? And what fire brand do you use. Greetings from holland 🇳🇱
@thebuildsociety Жыл бұрын
The fireplace wall is 7 feet wide, 8 feet tall. I have a dimension breakdown in the description. For more information on the fireplace insert you can watch my video on KZbin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5u4iJaJbrB0frc. Thanks for watching!

Nice job but shouldn’t you prime before painting?
@thebuildsociety Жыл бұрын
It was a paint and primer in one, worked well for me.

What is the height of your mantle from the floor? Great job!
@thebuildsociety Жыл бұрын
Thanks! 44.5 inches to the top of the mantle from the floor.
@GolfSpy_KFT Жыл бұрын
@@thebuildsociety Thanks for the response! Just built an entertainment wall in my basement and trying to decide whether or not a mantle will fit well, but it would be right around that same height so that is reassuring!
