Glad to finally see an update to this video series! I'm in the planning stages of building a very similar 3kw e mini dirt bike from a baja warrior (basically a mini chopper) with a 72v, 40ah battery just like this build. Can't wait to see this project finished and what the bike can do.

OK, this has revived the e-bike bug in me. It has been about 6 years since I last put together an e-bike and I realize it has been way too long! Now that the house construction add-on is almost wrapped up, I will set my shop up again and finish the two projects I had started back then. Thanks Micah for re-awakening the electric bug in my soul! Be sure to finish this thing, it's looking really good! Not to mention how e-bikes/e-motorcycles can make your spirit absolutely soar!!

This is super cool! I built a similar 1964 Honda S90 electric conversion two years ago. I just started documenting it with a couple of videos. I went with a mid drive motor with a chain, but your quiet hub motor is making me jealous.

I follow you since your first videos and I have learned a lot from you. I made my first ebike battery with your video two years ago. I made many batteries for myself and my friends, my relatives etc. That became my hobby because of you. Now, you bring truth my dream that I have for long time. I will have courage with your video series and probably I will make one too. You are the man! Thanks for all of your share 👍

Love the video! It's about time you started getting into the design side of e-bikes. I knew right away what was wrong when your motor wouldn't work... Been there done that, more than once. I also understand your comment regarding LCD or LED displays. They are the weakest link in the chain. I have sometimes resorted to using an analog display and a cheap phone with a GPS App so that I could use the phone as a speedometer rather than deal with error codes from displays. This is where the real magic happens. Taking something from the past and bringing it into the present future. I love the whole design aspect of working with modern and retro design, and believe me people get it. They love this stuff. Anybody with some simple skills can put a motor on a bike frame with a battery and controller in a milk carton on the back rack , but making a bike that brings the past alive again is just priceless. I can't wait to see the final results. It's like Back to the Future in real time for real people.

Hi Micah, great to see you back in motion and going forward with the ElectroHonda! That's a very clean bike you found. Also glad to see you looking healthy, what with all this CV19 crap going around. Hey, I also need to use your Dad's garage!! Nice. For what it's worth, your Vruzend 1.5 & 2.0 kits have been holding up well in my 2 wheeled "TESLA". Actually a Currie Technologies Schwinn (full suspension version) S750. It now runs on 67V (x4 6Sx3P packs, plus a 4Sx3P "Helper" pack, wired in series and parallel), running a Yiyun 48V speed controller (that will actually take up to 70V).With a free wheel and regeared rear sprocket, I have it now hauling my 240lbs around at over 32mph. I get about 7-10 miles range (but only pulling the cells down to 3.6-3.8V), depending on the terrain, so it's perfect to run all my daily, local errands. Rather than use what have been unreliable BMS', I recharge all the packs with a RC type IMAX B6 charger and a EP Buddy Paraboard V2. It's a little tedious, but I haven't been having luck with the BMS' I've found on eBay. They have no identifying marks so you can't even tell if it's correct for the application. Anyway, I've been hoping you'd start on this project again. Congrats on seeing it come to life. Ride safe, stay healthy and have fun. cheers Boots Langley La Mesa, Ca

Its coming along nicely, if you put the controller on top of the battery box you will probably have better cooling than tucking it in the gas tank or frame. As for the display, its now an electric bike, don't worry about hiding it or not using it. Look forward to seeing it together. Stay safe.
