Looks stunning! I think black was a great color for the door as it "grounds" it and lets the stained glass and hardware shine. Great job on the railing - especially considering the "instructions".

It looks really nice! I love the paint colors, greens, can you share them? I'm planning on painting later this fall and they're perfect, I already have black accents outside; lights, mail box, large house numbers, railings. Thank you. Score on the mail slot and finding a replacement! Strange there's a mail slot on the back door, assuming it was a salvaged front door.

Yes I believe it’s salvaged! The old owners added on to the back of the house, and it’s not really in the craftsman style of the rest of the home. But still beautiful! The siding is Juniper Ash and the trim is Alpine Trail-all by Behr

That door is beautiful! What are you going to do with the wood divider? I image a darker stain or climbing vines but neither seems right.

Thank you! Well you know I love a dark stain 😆 but my mom is less into the dark and moody look. Plus since I’m screening in the whole porch with black screen, it will get darker in here. So I’m thinking I’ll end up painting it a lighter color and maybe doing a gallery wall!

Yes, it’s the same method with the hammer drill and expansion screws!

Antique means 100+ years old, which your UK letter boxes very well may be! Here in the US we’re not as good about preserving historic buildings and features

Thank you! The wood wall will stay, but I’m likely going to paint it a light color and put up decor-only because it’s pressure-treated pine and is always going to have a blue-green tinge otherwise, and I also don’t want it to look too dark in here once I screen it in!
