Hey guys, in this video you can find a guide on how to service main components of your cooling system which are water pump and thermostat, also we will be replacing upper radiator hose. The procedure is pretty much the same for all N63 engine as well as S63 engine (really similar).

Glad to hear it, good luck with the job i will post a diy for this job some time in the near future but it is simpler procedure than we have here for 335 oil pan gasket

@@Zeiten thx Tim! In fact I’m cleaning the oil pan as I type! Your video was a massive help. I change oil & filter every 5000km without fail. The pan looks new inside! 👍🏻 Those oil cooler lines for the transmission are a pain. GL645 auto on my 08 1er.

Good afternoon sir ! Please share your thoughts on why I keep burning out the pierburg electric turbo water pump on my 09 BMW 750i. I am on number four in 2 years . I just replaced my engine water pump yesterday ( with your help in this video , thank you so much ) . I noticed the center reservoir went low for a min when first running the engine after replacement of the engine water pump.i topped it off as soon as I could.The turbo water pump was a month old but I noticed the classic engine overheating warning even though the engine was just started. My tester cleared all codes and after a short time I see the pump is shorted to ground in diagnostics. Please advise what I could be doing to burn up these new electric Pumps for the turbos. I had 2 genuine BMW pumps fail and one new pierburg. I have another new pierburg to install today but I thought I would ask you before I power it up. You are the best around my man 💯 I got the typical

Nice vid man, I have a question. What would be wrong with my bmw 328i when I can smell a lot of gasoline fumes from inside the car? Fuel injection line or fuel injectors themselves?

No, most common issue if fuel sending unit (also can be called fuel filter) it is located behind the driver seat inside the gas tank under back seat

Check this fist, i bet if you look under the car you can see that gas tank is wet right next to rear driver’s side wheel

Sure it can, just doesn’t really make sense to replace thermostat without replacing the water pump

I had a guy who's 2006 BMW 750li I serviced for ignition coils. Now I get a call that he drove and hit a pothole and now is leaking coolant. I couldn't suspect anything but he may have cracked the radiator when he bottomed out the chassis. What do you think?

Hard to say but I wouldn’t bet that he cracked radiator hitting a pothole. Can be a number of components at fault you’ll need to check the car and find a leak coolant always leaves a trace and build up around point of origin

Hello again, looks like there is an outlet port on the waterpump that had a black “cap” on it I’m assuming…. Do you know what that is? The waterpump on my BMW doesn’t have that port, it’s closed off.

On the updated waterpump, there is that open port which needs a cap. Got it at dealership.

Don’t have it but it is very easy to do, you basically don’t need to remove anything to take them out

how possible is it to replace the thermostat without taking off the water pump? I saw the 3 bolts, but is that one on the bottom close to the block accessible ?
