This was my most challenging project yet and can serve as a kitchen prep table or a kitchen island.
I had access to a both Festool Domino's which I tried for the 1st time to assemble the base. But you can use a router and loose tenons, traditional mortise and tenon and even pocket screws. I would have no issues using pocket screws. I build an assembly table that weighs hundreds of pounds with pocket screws and have rolled that all over my shop and stood on it to assemble the electrical on the ceiling with no signs of failure.
I also used the Domino to align the drawer bottom and table top. Here again, you can use a biscuit joiner to accomplish the same thing.
