If you get tired trying to start it. Take the pull cord cover off and use a cordless drill with a socket on to spin it up. Carry drill in rack bag.

No it's the shitty rusty hub that's probably too tight. It's definitely not true. Look at the flanges and how warped they are

You need strong spokes when adding a motor. Normal bicycles wheels fail with the increased power.

Those little old style break pads will FAIL when wet = death, at least put a mountain bike front wheel & disk break on it = live long time.

🙎🏼 That's way too much friction and noise. An electric motor kit would be way better. I shouldn't have to wear ear plugs while riding my bicycle or stop, get off, & pull start, in order to get my engine going. Gasoline, oil, & smoke are toxic to this earth too. 🌎 Otherwise, I guess it's kinda cool. ✌🏼

That 4 to 12 hundred dollar battery for your e bike still needs to be recycled and when we are looking at an engine of this size the emissions are extremely tolerable in comparison to even a compact car carrying that same single rider/driver. It's also worthy to note that not everyone can afford your typical bottom end e bike for 1500.00 plus. This home made unit likely cost less than 300 total. So 1200 dollars to someone that doesn't have a good income could be the difference between having or not having basic transportation.
