These videos give me SO MUCH JOY! Seeing you and Marcus work together is absolutely priceless! Today I realized that all the times I tried to get Marcus to help me rearrange furniture or do other projects, he would wisely talk me out of it or say “Mom you don’t need to do that.” God was preserving him for you! I'm late watching this, but so happy to see it - it's going to turn out wonderfully! Definitely use mortar to solidify the border stones. Also, it doesn't look like there's an easy entrance in & out of the area. What about a 2-3 ft opening instead of closing the circle completely? Just thinking of y'all moving furniture in & out or people having to step over the stones.

My husband and I own a landscaping company and we’ve done so many fire pits/sitting areas…. You don’t need anything to secure the stones… they will settle into place make sure the gravel is evenly placed around the base of the stones…..you will always need more gravel 😂😂😂 there’s never enough!! Water the gravel as you level it…it makes it settle into place. Keep up the great work on your home! I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful!!

I also purchased a fixer in GA back in August. I also created that same circular fire pit area in my backyard. It’s one of my favorite outdoor spaces. A lot of hard work. But you and Marcus are very inspiring. Keep up the hard work. It’s rewarding..

Love this! You should consider removing the ivy growing on the trees on your property. It looks beautiful but they often kill the trees they're growing on!

The wall is coming along nicely! Speaking from experience, I would definitely use some mortar. My wall started leaning out and eventually falling in sections because I didn’t use any.

I love #2 the most. Marcus choice IS the best choice. You can string the lights easier in a cute little triangle. I love that you all are doing it the right way and not just throwing it together. We did with a small patio area on the side of my deck and it is so uneven, so we will eventually have to pull it up and level it correctly to have it the way I want and then put stones too. Right now there are old railroad ties that are falling apart 😒. Do it right the first time. Save time and money and your back! Lol

Love the fire pit area . I think you should add cement to hold the brick together so you never have to worry about them fall or moving. It's would last longer .
