Wow, this is the first video I’ve seen since the board and batten wall. The one thing I like about your videos is they are very easy to follow.

As someone who just got back from a fireplace store for an electric wall mounted unit that runs around 4,000 and a pellet insert that was 6500 all in, I say, you're awesome. I'm still going to have our designer do the work finding a contractor to put everything in place with a faux stone wall to insert it, etc. but still wanted to give you props. If we only had tools, time and the confidence. :)

Wow, thank you so much! Yes, these fireplaces can get pricey but I'm glad you are getting it done. You are going to love it as much as I do, I'm sure😄

Your project is fantastic! The luck you had with the cove moulding is something I can’t completely master. Very good! Also, cutting the miter cut with the circular saw is definitely a cut I need either my table saw for or my miter saw. I like how you include your beautiful dog as your assistant in certain pictures. I used to have a Beagle that loved my shop, but she got to old to join me for a day in the shop. 😢 Thank you so very much for sharing your project with us! Keep up the beautiful work! If I may also say, the information you provide about your build, for me, is to the point and spot on for sparking any further ideas. Well done…cheers!

This looks really great! I am looking to build a surround for my electric fireplace, that I just have attached to the wall. Mine is a bit larger than yours, but should be easy enough to adjust the cut list to fit.
@AngelaMarieMade3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, that's awesome. I agree, the measurements would not be that difficult to make adjustments to fit the insert that you have.

I'm amazed at all the creative and awesome looking projects you've shared on your channel, this is no exception. Forever a subscriber! P.S. I copied your outdoor chair project and tried to add a bit of flair to it and holy.......I'm saying though.......2x3", #220 grit, blowtorch, pecan stain, and a clear glossy poly stain.

Great job as usual. How much was the total cost and can you break it down. How much for wood? And the unit? If you want to; price if tools? Jk.
@AngelaMarieMade3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, the cost for the materials including the fireplace insert was $550!!

Mantel still not high enough to look like a real fireplace. From floor to top of mantel should be at least 52 inches high. These low mantel fireplaces look fake because real ones have higher mantels
@AngelaMarieMade3 жыл бұрын
I considered that when designing it, but due to the smaller size of the electric insert and the width restraints between the two windows, this was the tallest the design could go without it looking not to scale. For a larger wall space and larger electric insert, it could be modified and made taller.
