This is, by far, the BEST, most informative pillow lounger video I've found on youtube. Thank you for explaining the measurements and giving great detail as to how you sewed the project. And extra kudos for doing the overlapping cover, not the open ended one!

Thank you Jennifer it's nice to hear. I appreciate you. God Bless.

I agree with Jennifer. If you desire something to look nice, you need to pay attention to the details and take the time needed to do it neatly. This was the best video on this DIY I’ve seen yet and I’ve watched a few. Very well made and neat. Love the added feature of the ties. I’m headed to target right now to pick up pillows I just ordered. 🤙 Aloha from The 808 state.

Thank you for your tutorial! I successfully made my first pillow lounger for a grandchild today. The fabric was 60" wide, so I was able to create the "envelope" without having to cut panels, which was really nice, but I referred to your video throughout the process.

Thank you so much. This was perfect and so easy to follow for a beginner sewer. I made 7 for a 10yo birthday party movie night and sent them home as party favors. Thank you!

I love this tutorial. This exactly what I was looking for. Yes other tutorials are easier, but this one is way better quality. Im going to make a large pillow bed. Thank you so much. Your math is not complicated. People are just lazy lol. When I prep for a project I always sketch and do math too

Oh thank you. I just couldn't understand why people are complaining about simple math? I'm not saying "copy me copy me" I'm saying "well here is how I did it, hope it helps you to do what you would like accomplish." Thanks for watching and commenting.

I am going to be making this. my question is: when you calculated the back, did you add the 1" for finishing the fabric on the overlap pieces?
@OlgaLing3 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks so much for watching and commenting. The 19" width for the two back panel does include hem measurement. Hope it comes out great. God Bless.

Could you see 5 pillowcases together?
@OlgaLing3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching. If you are using a standard pillowcase I suppose if you overlap the cases to eat up some of the space between pillows theoretically it should work. Only problem I see is the open sides. You can sew ribbons on them to keep them closed. Hope this helps.
@franking9153 жыл бұрын
if your pillows are 20" why do you sew them at 16.5" apart? that seems too tight
@OlgaLing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fran, I actually visually show you why in the video. I knew it might seem straight forward to sew them using a 2 dimensional measurement that the manufacturers are required to put on the objects but it is a 3 dimensional object. Since its a pillow the 3rd dimension will always be changing so they don't include it. If I sew it at 100" I show in the video how much space will be in between each pillow. It will just be empty fabric not at all comfortable. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching. God bless

I wish you would have showed how to fold the panel 2&3 in before sewing it up 😢 otherwise it was helpful but I’m stuck here
@OlgaLing2 жыл бұрын
I do show that. I begin explaining the fold at 9:25 mark. If you provide more detail I can probably help you better if you are stuck.

Has anyone tried hot gun glue for this method?
@OlgaLing4 жыл бұрын
I don't see any significant issues why it wouldn't work. I just usually sew everything so I don't know for sure to truly help you. Thank you for commenting. God Bless.

@@OlgaLing thanks for responding, I don't have a sewing machine. So I was trying a different method
@OlgaLing4 жыл бұрын
I am all for trial and error. I am self taught so I encourage the exploration. Let us know if you do end up trying it and it works out. I would suggest find a glue that can be washed if need be and have some form of clips and patience for the glue. God Bless

This is too complicated you can make them so much easier.i use sheets,there are easier directions on other utube channels.

Sewing involves a lot of math so its understandable that it gets complicated. My style of teaching seams to be more in depth and to inspire. I believe that can come from learning not just mimicking. If someone wants to make this with two pillows or 10 pillows they can have a better understanding of how they can accomplish that. Yes, a flat sheet is like a piece of fabric with hems so it can be treated as so and that is great to hear that you did that. Remember Jesus loves you and God Bless. Thanks for watching.
