The best brake video on KZbin! No talking, just simple action. Thanks!

I will be doing the job shortly, I will clean the bracket and grease the ends of the pads, then clean and silicone grease the slide pins before torquing them, clean and slightly grease the hub so the wheel doesn't stick onto it, that's just my way of doing it.

Hey thanks for the video I have one question what kind of tool you used for the caliper pins ?
@fixallandmore11 ай бұрын
Hi The sliding pins are Hex 7(allan) bolts

what is missing is how rusty brake-pad pins are stuck and hard to remove with T-45 Torx. need a prybar and some patience. Rotors need some precise hammering to break them loose too. Heat on the 18 MM bolts that hold the calipers was necessary to back and forth crank those puppies out because they are stuck in place with Loctite. Also, wheels on a Transit are not always easy to get off the hub. Whacks with a sledge on the tire are the only way mine (2015) come off

To many hammers involved in your work by the sounds of it. You'd be the last guy to work on my connect. 😂 Also rotors are for helicopters bro. I think you mean brake disks

I thought I was putting on these rotors wrong because mine kept moving like his were and I am pissed off the fact that I have to put all this back on because I did do it the correct way

Some explanation of what you are doing would be nice and perhaps change the camera angles occasionally. Very rushed for someone who is hoping to use it as a guide. You're clearly very good at what you do, but a bit quick for the less proficient mechanic. Thanks anyway though. .
