Jane Emilia I have used food colouring and it didn't really stain my skin before, but it did leave marks on my tub that washed off but well, I had to scrub it off. So I suppose it works?

COOL! I must say this turned out very nice, however I couldn't get the thought of that glitter out of my head. There re glitters made specifically for soap, and they melt away when you're using the soap. THESE do not. And they also stick to you. Not to mention this damages the environment. So,please keep this in mind when you do another soap DIY using glitter! Love you!

there are no preservatives in this... THAT is why you need to make it as "late as possible" or as close to the time you give it as a gift.. because it WILL spoil... that is why most people who make their own jelly soaps either use melt and pour jelly base, OR find a preservative and add it to their mixes.

Be sure to ONLY use body glitters with stuff involving your body (especially around the eyes and sensitive parts). Craft glitter can harm your body if it gets stuck in places it shouldn't be.
