DIY Garden Renovation Goes Horribly Wrong | Massive Yard Makeover

We were called in to fix this absolute nightmare of a DIY garden renovation gone wrong. The owner didn't realise how much work is involved in a job like this and how hard the work is to do. To add insult to injury, the owner's dog had then dug massive, great holes everywhere. This one was a difficult job, we removed around 2 trailer loads of green waste, then moved around 3 tonnes of clean soil at the end. All up, the job took a full 10 hour day!

Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

I watched a lot of such videos on YT - I love gardens and always look for tips to clean mine the best way. This being said, both of you are the only ones who actually really clean up EVERYTHING in the garden before leaving. Not a single weed stays on place; which is the best way for not having double the number growing between two sessions of garden maintenance. You're definitely the best out there. OK. Now going to cry in my bedroom as you do not live in my side of the planet, hehe. Cheers.

@@haukepetersson My own gardener doesn't clean up the garden entirely when he's finished working. Most weeds are just pushed away or in the compost. Composting weeds, the worst idea out there. Wow George! The DOG! I love the rich soil that you have in Tasmania, and the VIEWS are breathtaking. One thing I love about the way you and your crew work, you do a section and clean up behind you. Then do another section and clean up behind you. Most would just tackle the job and then do the cleanup. I like your method better. That's one thing I love about mowing my own lawn (when I have one), I can see where I've been. And feel pride in a job well done.

Wow, you did an incredible job. My lower back was aching just watching, hahaha. I had no idea what the owners were trying to achieve but at the last with the back part all evened out and that little rock wall revealed it looked so good. I hope they pound in the nails on the fence palings; I could see them sticking out. It looked so good when you trimmed the shrubs back by the driveway. Wish you'd trimmed that one tall one by the bedroom window a bit shorter but that's just me. That was a big transformation. Hope you got to soak your aches away in a nice spa pool!
