Infinitely adjustable gearbox MOTOVARIO with a reduction ratio from 6 to 33.
Judging by the generous use of die-cast aluminum (motor fan shroud, fan impeller, slotted screws, and other Old school design), the gearbox is roughly produced in the early 1970s.
The inscription on the contact cover of the motor cable, impresses with the fashionable font of the early 20th century, in the Art Nouveau style (if I understand the topic correctly).
The nameplate says in Italian to change the grease every 8,000 hours. In the gearbox itself, change the Dexron oil every 1,500 hours.
I found drawings for the modern generation of these MOTOVARIO gearboxes, it will be interesting to disassemble, assemble and give it a new life.
With a frequency converter, I believe that such a reduction ratio cannot be obtained. Keeping all the power of the motor.
