DIY Gel Nail Art...for the first time ever

I decided it would be a great idea to attempt nail art with gel polish for the first time ever. I was inspired by the nail art where every nail is a different emjoi or cute pattern. I bought a sketchy UV/LED light, a ton of colours from Bio Seaweed Gel, and nail brushes, and jumped right in.

The flashlight is cool and mobile. You can fix a nail on the go or on a trip. For time it’s worth getting an LED/UV lamp. “Wish” has lamps and I’ve used them. Not expensive. Amazon isn’t that bad for lamps.

If your planning on doing gel nail polish often get a lamp it makes the cure time go way down because you can do all your nails at the same time

Can i do this with regular nail polish? Is there a difference between doing it with nail polish vs gel polish?

You can do it regular nail polish, it just doesn't last was long as gel. Also, in my experience if you're slower at nail art gel nail polish doesn't dry/cure until you put it under the lamp so you have longer work time (also easier to wipe if you mess up).
