I’ve been attempting acrylics / gel polish at home for months now and literally 99% of the “don’t” things you covered in this video I have been doing and could never understand why my polish would run, my thumbs always peeled first (and way before any of the other nails) I could go on and on…!! If your UV light is old and you’ve used it for a while that will definitely play a part in your gel not curing right. Are usually pills off. Mouse shells to cure with the sticky residue after curing the recommended amount of time. You would wipe it off with the lint free wipe and with ManiQ Cleanser. 💅🏻🤍✨

Can you recommend what to do for people who have had an allergic reaction to acrylic. What other products be used and what to do if an allergic reaction happens.
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
Our Synergy Gel system is a true hard gel, not a polygel, so it does not have acrylic in it. However, if you have allergies, you should consult with a doctor or allergist to figure out what you are having a reaction to. A lot of nail products have similar chemistry, so there may be something in both acrylic and gel that could cause a reaction.

@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
Capping your edges is a personal preference with our product. When you apply the Protein Bond on the nail, this gives a great bond between the polish and the nail, so there is no "need" to cap the edges. Some people prefer the look of the nail when the sides/free edge is capped, but it won't affect the wearability of the nail if it's not.

What if we use a non wipe top coat and after we cure the second layer of top coat, the second layer looks like it’s pulling or missing parts of top coat?? I made sure to cover the whole nail
@thearmchairjournalist5663 жыл бұрын
There’s many reasons why it happens, I’ve seen a few videos on this on KZbin, try searching for them. It can be because of the smoothness of the gel, removing the dispersion layer, using chromes, etc etc. I’ve seen some techs use base coat under the top coat to stop it pulling from the edges or gently filing the surface to ensure adhesion.
@youngnailsinc9 ай бұрын
Depending on the brand of top coat you are using, you may or may not be able to apply a second coat on top of a non wipe product. With Ultimate Finish, if the second coat is applied, it still has enough "grip" for the second coat to adhere. With other non wipe top coats, the surface may cure too smooth and the second layer can pull away or "puddle" as you are describing. In addition, if you apply the second coat too thin, this can also lead to puddling of the product.

It's so crazy. It's almost like you guys knew that I was up til two am last night doing my nails. I was sitting down to do my other hand right as you uploaded this. I am a cosmetologist and I love your videos and how in depth they are with all the different angles and tips for success. I haven't really been taught all that much when it comes to enhancements before coming across your channel/brand. Thank you so much for helping me understand all these details. Education is power and speaks so highly about your passion that you guys are giving this information away for free. I have completed my manicure and it feels 100 times more secure and smooth since watching this.

OMG!! You have access to my google account!! Lol I literally have been googling do’s and don’t with gel polish! Quick ? Can you use regular nail polish and then topcoat with gel Basecoat and top gel??
@jaquelin18873 жыл бұрын
You can! You have to wait for the regular polish to dry 1000% before gel top coating. Or you might get a wrinkle within 10 minutes or sooner. I often do this because I have a ton of regular polish vs gels.

@@jaquelin1887 thanks so much that’s literally what I’m doing is organizing the tons of regular polish that I have. I bought the young nails caption base and top coat when it was on sale. My daughter bought me some really pretty colors of regular polish and I was hoping this would work on it! So let it dry all the way then apply gel. Thanks again! 😜😊😎

The instructions with my kit literally said to buff the nail as prep - no wonder I was struggling so much with chipping and peeling!! Thank you so much for this video, perfect timing!
