Genious heat fusion idea for those cheap plastic tablecloths! Great DIY project with so much versitility.

What heat setting do you put the iron on? And how long do you iron over it? Is the parchment paper really thick??

Hello, sorry for the late reply but here are some helpful tips I have noticed over time. The higher cost plastic table cloths (usually $1 more) have been easier to work with. Different plastic cloths use different heat settings depending how thick it is and how many layers your trying to fuse. Heat setting will also depend on speed of passing the iron and how well the plastic fuses. Most of the time Im a couple notches below the highest setting, but if im doing an awkward shape, I lower the heat to allow me more work time with the iron.

have you made, or considered making artificial plants and leaves?

YES! as a matter of fact I used this for various things besides these bows and attempted to make flowers with it last spring. I was going for a fluffy tissue paper like flower to work for outdoors. I have yet to perfected something I'm happy with. Good Question and thanks for asking. Let me know if you happen to try it. I'd love to see

I noticed some dollar store plastic cloths worked much better than others, feel free to Walmart or another brand. Each time I try a different one I can usually tell the pro’s and conns differences right away. Ive probably experimented with about 10 plastic table cloth brands with maybe 2 of them being too thin or not worth the effort.
