Where there some metal parts on magnet? On 530d i flushed the whole system and it had some metal parts on it, also the oil was a bit brown but not to much,but it changes gears smotly without slipping, oil flush was made on 290000 km and car now has 308000

Normal wear - nothing to be worried. I would be worried if the old oil smells burned and has black colour. That could be an bad indication, in such case.

Used your method for flushing my AR25 / 4L30E in an 2.2 16V Omega. For me it was easier to get the oil out from the return line coming back to the transmission( there is a hose you can disconnect from the hard line ). Thank you for sharing the knowledge!

My pleasure - thanks for the feedback. That's also proper flush, using the returnline beneth the transmission, if you got enough space and access to the return line, in that case. Well done. Regulary fluid flush + filter change and these transmissions will last longer than some of the newer automatic transmissions. Have a nice day and keep Opel Omega alive.

Did an upgrade from Dexron III (H) to Dexron VI. That was the main reason.

How do you reset transmission adaption?

I pull two fuses in the fuse box (below the steering wheel) for some minutes for tranny reset. Works well, every time.

Are the back wheels spinning while you are in GEAR to flush the oil , or do you press on the brake all the time? Which gear position are you using to empty the gearbox initially prior to changing the filter?

The brake pedal was always pressed during flush process, for safety reasons. That worked well, every time I did it that way. Before I took off the oil pan, I used the transmission oil pump in 'P'-position, while the engine ran for a few seconds, for extracting the most of the old fluid out of the oil pan.

Hallo, super Video. Danke dafür schonmal. Wieviel Öl hast du für die Spülung gebraucht? Habe das demnächst am AR25 vor.

Das sind zwar zwei unterschiedliche Getriebe, aber die Anleitung funktioniert da prinzipiell gleich. Im 5L40E sind ungefähr 9 L + die Spülmenge X. Ich spüle üblicherweise mit ca. 5-6 Litern = ich brauchte ca. 15 L insgesamt.

@@dextrogen11 Danke dir für die Antwort. Also rechne ich da richtig: 4,5 L nach dem Ölfilterwechsel, 3 oder 4 mal Spülen mit je 2 L, 4,5 Liter plus soviel bis es aus der Kontrollöffnung austritt? Also reicht ein 20 Liter Kanister Dexron VI locker. 👍👍

@@stantheman7832 Ja, das reicht locker. Ich plante mit 16 Litern, hatte aber auch lieber etwas mehr auf Lager, damit ich gründlich spülen konnte. Beim abschließenden Einstellen des Ölstands bitte sehr gewissenhaft sein, weil da oft Fehler passieren können. Das Video ist da aber recht präzise; wer sich daran orientiert, kann kaum etwas falsch machen.

@@dextrogen11 Vielen vielen Dank. Habe alles besorgt. Alle Dichtungen und 20 L Dexron VI. Schlauch brauche ich nur noch. Am Samstag versuche ich mein Glück, ich werde berichten ob deine Vorgehensweise auch bei den 4Gang Automaten klappt. Sicher auch hilfreich für andere.

@@stantheman7832 Sollte klappen. Nach dem Schema habe ich auch schon Mercedes Automaten gespült - das Prinzip ist immer sehr ähnlich. Spülen am Rücklauf, entweder vorne am Ölkühler oder an der Leitung am Getriebe - kann man sich aussuchen. Dann gibt es Unterschiede bei den Füllmengen, sonst kaum Unterschiede. Ich habe natürlich leicht Reden, weil ich dabei mittlerweile Routine entwickelt habe. Wenn man sich dabei die Ruhe antut, systematisch und gewissenhaft ist, müsste es gelingen.
