Hi dear! E-wax will emulsify both oils and butters. Butters are actually also oils, but in solid form. So it's considered the same category. :)

What if i reduce the amounts of distilled water and amp up the amounts of butter that I used, that would change the texture, yes. Would it be more thick than creamy due to the absence of some water?

Hi love! Yes, you can definitely do that. :) The texture is gonna change ofcourse, the more butter you add, the thicker the lotion's gonna be. Heck, it's gonna be an emulsified body butter instead of a lotion haha. But if that's what you're going for, then you're on the right track! :) You can also reduce the amount of liquid oils and substitute it with more butter, if you want it even thicker and heavier. Hi and thank you for sharing this body lotion recipe. Could you please clarify the correct portion of glycerin? In the description you state that this recipe requires 20g of glycerin and 700ml of distilled water, but in the video you dillute approximately 70g of glycerin in 700ml distilled water. Which one is it? I watched the video carefully and all the other ingredients are measured as in the description, but regarding glycerin there’s some confusion. Heyyy sweetie! So sorry for the late reply and thank you for actually emailing me regarding this. I wouldn’t have noticed if not for the email haha. Anyways, for those who are reading this comment and was wondering the same, the correct measurement for the Glycerin is 20g. I mistakenly weighed it up till 70g in the video and i didnt even notice! Thank God it still worked out great haha. Anyways, glycerin is a humectant and it doesn’t really affect the lotion’s texture much, which is why it didnt make much difference whether i added a lot or very little. If it were the water, oil, or emulsifer, then yes it’d make tons of difference in texture. 😊 Goodluck to everyone who’s trying this! And thank youuu for watching! 😁♥️♥️

Since we are making green tea lotion in which form we can add green tea other than as fragrance oil? Can we use phenoxyethanol as a preservative

Yes ofcourse you can. :) You could use 2% Green Tea Extract in the cool-down phase, just reduce the amount of distilled water to compensate the addition of extracts. And you could also use Green Tea Essential Oil in place of the fragrance if you could get your hands on one. :) And yes you can use phenoxyethanol as a preservative. :)

Hi , does the lotion stay liq in the bottle? i noticed the extra.in the jar had thickened so I wondered if it would be hard to.squeeze out of the bottle . Thank you very much , I will try it out .

No this formulation does not make a liquidy/watery lotion. It makes a rich thick lotion. So yes it's gonna solidify like the one in the jar, but can still be pumped out using the pump bottle. It's not as thick as body butters. :)

I dont recommend this for facial use unless your skin is very very dry because the texture is actually a little heavy.

You're right i didnt check the pH. Usually lotions would have a neutral pH since they mostly contain oils and water only. Unless some strong actives are added, the pH is usually the same. But anyways, you can still check yours if you follow this formulation and is concerned about it. :)
