Just finished building this fun project with recycled pieces of wood. Very solid and heavier than i expected. I also applied oil-based, clear satin spar urethane for mildew and water damage protection. This should last a long time. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ben, What was the advantage to using frames for each individual shelf instead of your shelves just being made up of your 2" thick boards? I'm in the process of getting materials together for this build, but am debating between building frames like in your video, or simply joining my 2 by's to make my shelves, and screwing into the sides of the boards themselves. Thanks!

Sam Jennings maybe to create enough material to screw thight the green angle iron. I am no sure though.

Looks great! I love all your projects. Could you do a bar cart in a future video?

The widths of the three shelf boards add up to 18 inches. (7 1/4 + 7 1/4 + 3 1/2). Can you tell me why you made the frame width 19 inches? Is there a 1/2 inch gap on either side of the 2 x 4s? In the video it looks like they are touching.

How has this handled the elements? Curious since I'm in hot and humid Atlanta, GA.
@Doeff87 жыл бұрын
That's why I chose to use tropical hard wood (living in humid NW Europe). Little problem: with these measures, the cart itself will weigh a hefty 150kg / 330lbs.
