RECIPE 💕 DIY deep conditioner with only 2 ingredients!
1-2 TBS coconut oil
1-2 TBS raw honey
Mix well.
Optional: 5 drops each of lavender and rosemary essential oils, 1/2 tsp of amla powder, 1/2 tsp shikikai powder
Apply to hair, leave overnight with a shower cap, and wash out the next day - no conditioner needed! I wash with rhassoul clay and follow with an apple cider vinegar hair rinse. 💕

Honey is so good for defining curls! I found my hair getting sticky, though, and I don't usually wear my curls out, so my two ingredient hair oil is coconut oil and olive oil. I'm going to add Shea butter to the next batch and try that.

I recommend a mixture of an oily component, some acid and maybe protein. Coconut, 1-2 spritz of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and if you like 1 egg yolk. But not needed. Only for hair damage. Apply the oil (and if wanted the yolk) onto the ends/length before washing (shampooing) the scalp to prevent the tensids to damage/drain the hair length. Then rinse the shampoo thoroughly and apply/rinse with apple vinegar. Oil & yolk replace lost fats and amino acids and the acid closes the hair cuticle to make the hair super soft and shiney.

Equal parts coconut oil & raw honey kept in the fridge is excellent for burns as well. Not only does it have antiseptic, antimicrobial, & anesthetic(numbing) properties, but it also helps the skin heal with less scarring. Cannot recommend this enough.

Please please ! Keep in mind her texture and density of hair. This is not going to work for everyone. She has thick dense curly hair which is naturally drier and coarser than finer straighter hair. It can handle the weight of coconut oil and honey. If your hair is thin and fine it may weight it down quite a bit

Exactly what I am thinking. My hair is fine I can't put coconut on my hair it weigh it down and dries it out. I do better putting argan oil on my hair. I do eat coconut oil hopefully it gives some benefits instead of put it on my hair

Yes, she is absolutely correct... I have VERY thiiick, course, curly hair that tends to dry out verrry easily... coconut oil, other hair oils, and honey etc ALL work amazing on my hair type. But, thin fine hair would not be advisable for this kind of care. It has SURE changed my life (whole haircare routine, suitable for MY hair), and it has made my hair sooo muuuuuch healthier!!!🙌🤗🙏 Also, my hair is just past my butt, and I'd just trimmed 9" off where it was passing my fingertips when they're all the way down at my sides. THIS DEEP CONDITIONING METHOD WORK WONDERS!!!🥰

I would recommend swapping the coconut oil for a beef tallow honey mixture The coconut oil coats the hair strand completely and just sits on top of the stand which cause dry hair, insane amount of buildup as well If you use beef tallow with honey both work to heal your hair, grows your hair, reduced itchy scalp issues, and frizz issues all because beef tallow is a saturated fat that can penetrate the hair strand rather then sit on top. The beef tallow also has vitamine A, D, K, and E the Honey, since its a humectant, seals all the vitamins and moisture inside

As a hairdresser, I truly respect your videos and I’ve started using your tips !! Makes alot of sense ! However the coconut oil molecule is too big to penetrate the hair except when it’s formulated in a certain way in products. Otherwise it only coats the hair , so not moisturizing , just locking in whatever moisture or dryness that’s already in your hair . Jojoba oil however is awesome for hair ! Its my hair savior !!! It wouldn’t give the same creamy texture to the conditionner but would work better in my opinion. Jojoba oil almost has the same identical molecular structure as sebum 🤍

Coconut oil is very cleansing and using it continuously can dry out some hair instead of making it feel moisturized. I personally have noticed that about coconut oil (despite growing up in a culture where my scalp was massaged with coconut oil regularly) , I prefer to combine my oils for my hair. It was a trial and error thing for me. And I now only oil my scalp before shampoo (as opposed to after shampooing) and put some oil at the end after shampooing.

I highly suggest not to use it often if you have fine hair. I’ve been using coconut oil for years and mainly for the skin. I do a hair treatment once a month. About 80% of Aloe Vera gel straight from the plant and 20% coconut oil. I leave it on for about 1 to 3 hours, wash it like you would normally do. I also recommend you to not wash your hair more than 2 times a week and to brush it every day focusing on your scalp. 😊

@@Rosetta-gp9mk hot water or not.. it can still clog the pipes. You’re never suppose to put any oil or grease down the drain. It can build up over time, my husband is a plumber and we have a restoration company.

@@uhohnoseatbeltTV this is actually a great issue to bring up. I understood that we should run hot water down our sinks to keep any accumulated grease moving out of the pipes. I do have dedicated grease bottles for cooking residue ( grease, etc) and dont put grease down the drain, but gunk somehow builds up, as I find it while cleaning sinks. But, maybe rise over a basin, and pitch that water into the garden? Oh you shouldn't have mentioned your husband is a plumber!! LOL! Thank you.

@@kaepeach7588 lol I don’t have a good answer to this!! Then you’d have to dump the water outside ? 🤣🤣 I think that would be fine. Warm up the water in the sun in a kid pool in the summer, rinse out and dump? 😆

I find it hard to believe that oil would actually damage your hair - but I could believe that it would be too heavy for your hair texture and make it too greasy.

She needs to wash it out thoroughly, I can see it sitting on top of the strands still. It will build up and damage the prosity of her hair over time.
