A surprisingly simple effect that can be used in so many ways... Time to touch up some old oil paintings!

This is great! Time for some 2021 vids!!! Your stuff is great. On this one... Where did you find these "winkers"? They seem to be only sold as collector items!
@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Doodleducky. I found the "winkers" at an older hardware store, they probably had them laying around forever. Yes, they are hard to find so let me refer you to VanOaksProps' video on how to make a flicker box for your blacklight: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIjYo4SQa9h_jbM You can also purchase this at Fright Props, it can produce the look of lightning in time with thunder sounds for your blacklight: www.frightprops.com/lighting/thunder-lightning-controllers/budget-lightning-controllers/perfect-storm.html Hope this is helpful and thanks for watching.

Hi Paul, I love all your ideas, so creative and the concepts are clean and easily adaptable to customize for your own home haunt project. I do have a questions about these Wildfire /Modern Masters Invisible Luminescent Paints. That brand is very hard to locate, even from online vendors for purchase. The small kit of different colors I could not find anywhere, additionally, when I did locate said paints, the colors were limited in offering and expensive. I don't mind the cost so much, as I am sure they respond vividly under the blacklight, but do you have a good online source for procuring the paints? Can you recommend? Or do you have another brand that you can recommend,. Thanks for the help, Best- Dave
@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms2 ай бұрын
Hi Dave, it looks like several online companies carry this line of UV activated paints - 'Mizoart 6 Color Acrylic UV Reactive Fluorescent Paint Or Invisible Black Light Paint Set 1Oz/Pots'. I would copy & paste that description and see what pops up for you. Products are constantly changing or being phased out, so it is hard to keep up with them. These Mizoart paints look similar to what I used in the video since they are white to off-white before being exposed to the blacklight. Please let me know how these work for you so I can update to include them in the video's description. Thanks for letting me know and for watching.

Where do I find that circular connector piece that you attach to the deer motor that holds the black foam. Thanks 🙏🏼
@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms4 ай бұрын
Hi Cisco and thanks for asking. I used a miscellaneous plastic round that I happened to have, which means it is not something too specific and that you can make one out of something similar. Look for a nylon wheel, such as a screen door guide part or a wood or plastic disc around 2" in diameter and about 1/4" thick. As long as it has a center hole similar to the diameter of the motor's shaft or made out of a material that you can drill a hole into the center. That hole needs to be around the same size or slightly smaller than the shaft, you just want to make sure that you have a tight fit so that the wheel or disc does not slip as the shaft turns. Wrapping a piece of tape or double sided mounting tape around the motor's shaft until a tight fit is achieved when the wheel of disc is slipped over it can help.

@@michaelmeneghetti5794 Hi Michael. Here is a similar product, although I believe the paints are more clear than off white until exposed to a blacklight ... but that would work too. www.blacklightworld.com/Invisible_Black_Light_Reactive_Paints.htm

Any ideas on how to do Madame Leota with a peppers ghost? I do not have a projector so i cant do it the normal way.
@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mega Meg. Since Madame Leota is basically a projection on a plain white bust inside the crystal ball, you can use the invisible blacklight paint instead of the projector. The difficult part would be getting the bust inside the crystal ball. Perhaps an inverted widemouth fish bowl and a flexible white plastic face mask squeezed inside of it ... then lots of white fluff for the hair and also to fill the remaining space.

@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms perhaps the material they use for snow in Xmas displays (used to be a spun fiberglass) can be adapted for the hair?

Can you post a link for the paint you used? Im trying to find a good set but all of the ones i am finding will illuminate for 6 hours and i am looking for the lightning flash effect that you did!
@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking Decor Galore. It sounds like the "illuminate for 6 hours" paints that you mentioned are Glow-In-The-Dark type paints and not what you want. Search under "invisible blacklight paint sets" and for Wildfire, Neon Nights and Black Light World, who are some of the companies that produce them. Make sure that they are white to off-white when not exposed to authentic black light.

Thanks for asking Haider. I have never used this product before but GLO Effex has "Invisible Transparent UV Reactive Blacklight Paint". I would think that you could use these transparent paints over the portrait and they would only be visible once exposed to the blacklight. I would test on another surface first, let me know what you come up with.
