I had many many waste papers having personal details on it like: Credit Card Statements, Myntra/Amazon/Nykaa/Jabong Invoice, And i was not comfortable throwing them away just like that. So made Ganesh Idol, Rat and a plate of Modaks last Year from the paper pulp. Turned our very well, it was my first experiment with the paper pulp and took lot of efforts but it was worth it. Tip: Hot water makes paper soft quicker compared to room temp water. And thanks for giving the idea of using sieve, i will for sure try this...

Thank you for reminding me how much I used to love making this kind of paper when my kids were little (25+ years ago). I would use my handmade paper for greeting cards and gift cards. I also cut them into shapes to make paper ornaments, such as Christmas decorations. I never thought of adding snippets of thread (great idea!) but I used to add glitter. There are also very inexpensive mica powders available in dollar stores, sometimes in the makeup section, that would also work. You've inspired me to get out my old blender! Thanks again.

Just wanted to say that I followed your tutorial and it was amazing! The only things to mention was that I probably should put more pulps in the water for it to be thicker and the step after that where u press and dab it with a fabric is a pretty important step and I should try to soak the water off of it as much as I can for it to easily drop in the next step.

If it helps, I have noticed that using hot or boiling water helps break down the paper faster. Putting it in while it's actively boiling will boil off the ink, which might make residue on the edges of the container, but if you don't mind scraping that out, it isn't a big deal.

this came out so beautiful and perfect. just one tip, instead of putting just two spoons, put the whole pulp, because ot gives the paper strenght and more thickness. thanks
