DIY Harley ---- (Part 5) Primary Case Removal, Custom Clutch Pack, Read Description!!!! HD Harley

This is a 1977 Harley Davidson Ironhead
Did turn out to be a stock Clutch housing but the Clutch pack was a aftermarket, which threw me for a loop, still the same procedures for assembly and disassembly.
Also did turn out that it was run dry at one time thats why the primary chain tensioner was starting to get worn and which loosened and caused most of the chain deflection.
Showing you some basics of what and how to tear it down to make thing a bit easier for you in the long run.

Reason I'm asking think my brass washer could have dropped down. Also can clutch cable stay intact?

So you can remove primary and leave tension on tensioner? I know it adjusts from bottom.

Are the primary and motor oil seperate in these bikes?

Yes they are separated
