Everything looks so pretty! Anytime I paint or stain anything dark, I use Polyurethane in matte or satin because it’s way more durable with using it on daily basis. But anything I paint or stain in whites or lights, I use Polyacrylic cause it won’t yellow. Now with that being said, I had to redo my kitchen table 3 different times 😳🙄 because I kept using polyacrylic, not knowing the polyurethane was much more durable with washing it down with water daily and it’s dark stain top like your island. It’s now held up to 2 yrs, I’m loving it. I also removed all the small wall above my cabinets, I think it make it look more airy and bigger. 🤷‍♀️ we all think so different don’t we. Lol. When you paint the washer again sand it down to the metal before the primer. Rust is a mold and it will not go away unless you get it off completely but the laundry room was my favorite make over you did 💕

I actually LOVED 🥰 this video! It was clear, concise and quick! I enjoyed it! I learned a lot! Especially sealing the painted brick, staining old stained grout, what you did to the wood tops you installed in the laundry shed and your kitchen island and the curtains for the gazebo. We are going to try to build a patio pergola sometime this year if wood prices would go down! Lol. Money is tight Amd everything has gone sky high! Thanks for another great video Karrie!

I have wood countertops. We did them over 4 years ago. We used hardwood flooring (maple I think). My Dh used 3 coats of polyurethane on them and there’s not a single scratch or dent on them yet-and I am not careful with them at all. Polyurethane is a lot more durable than poly acrylic. My countertops are, hands down, the favorite part of our total kitchen remodel.

I built the island a year ago and it has held up wonderfully. Its even bigger than yours. I also completed the pantry and its well worth it. I wish I could send pictures. My husband and I are planning to do the fireplace also.I remodeled my kitchen and I even put a vinyl plank floor in myself. Im 63 years old. Thank you for all your projects. I bought a Buffalo check mini rug at the Target Dollar Spot ($5). It sits perfectly on top of my dryer. I fount a sm rectangular tier tray. I put laundry soap sheets on top layer and dryer sheets on bottom layer. Added a stem of cotton buds and wha-la!
