What a great low cost DYI design. The tripod head is brilliant.

Great DIY for those of us that don't have a big budget for our hobby. Works smoothly too. Good job.

My Man! I’ve been watching tons of DIY Crane/Jib videos for the past couple of weeks and yours is by far, the most straightforward, sturdiest, most effective and just Bad Ass looking. It looks so damn cool cause it’s all in black like it belongs to Batman 😆. Thanks for the video my man. Love your work! I can’t wait to construct that set up. I’m totally making that first thing in the morning. Thanks again brother 🤙🏾.

This is awesome! I was also thinking about how to make a pan also on just the camera part. and also how to make the main pipe extendable. Gonna put some though into it
@7TIV8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I actually made a panning mechanism recently. I hope to make a video soon showing it. Extendable pipe is a great idea. Let me know what you come up with.
@7TIV9 жыл бұрын
True. Although, all of the designs are a copy of a basic design of all camera cranes. The difference is in the details, especially if the details make it cheaper, better or just different. That's the DIY world. Having said that, I'm a big fan of the frugal filmmaker. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi there, this is a fantastic tutorial! Thanks a lot for making this! The tilting action looks really smooth. I am trying to make a pan/tilt head for my jib, manually controlled like your tilting head, so your parts list is going to help me figure out how to do it. Are you able to adjust the ease/difficulty of the tilting movement? Do you have time to help me figure out how to go one step further with your design and build a pan/tilt head, operated with one control stick like yours? I have seen 2 other people do it, they both used bicycle brake/gear cables to move the pan/tilt head. But your design seems so much easier to construct. Thanks a lot and I hope to hear from you.

The total cost, not counting the monitor and the dolly, is under $100. Give or take a few dollars. I am going off of memory. Most items were from home depot. I will try to do an actual cost when I get a chance.
