What's the model on the heater? If you turn off the power to it thru the pid and then you want it to start up again, how are that manage? I build my own oven and the heaters i found need manuell ignite when it starts upp. I have all the setup clear but this is the part i need help. Nice setup, perfect size and exactly like i like to have when I'm done 👌😎

How long does it take to get up to temp? After a year what would you do different? Has any aspect of the unit failed?

Now id say after almost 2 years the galvanized roofing rear wall i wouldve just waited and got sheet metal has to be replaced starting to flake so dont do that also the wiring for the lights make sure its heat resistant coated save some headache. Other then that still runs great I haven't had to do anything besides replace the spark plug in the heater with the back pressure it wears out after a year or so but not bad was 10 bucks when I first built it was around 5 minutes to get to 450 now its around 10 15 minutes to get to temp so the heaters wear out but still works fine ill lrob grab a new one this year just cause keep mine now as a backup. All in all great oven

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Good info on the unit, everything looks good to start but the proof is in the pudding. one year of operation will show all the faults.

@@michaelhiggins6814 for sure and will deff say this oven has made me some money haha I would deff do it over again biggest thing I think if your getting into it is just get a llc so you can legally order chemical stripper that will cut your prep time atleast in half I need to do it just haven't haha but deff know that will cut time and blasting time in half for sure good luck man

The stove and build look great, I wish you the best with it. I’m in the process now of building my own also. I work at the towns recycle center and we get stoves all the time which is great for free parts, Knowing my luck someone will throw out a bigger better stove once mine is built but I need something ASAP in the mean time. Also where do you get your powder? I just recently started and bought over 20 different lbs of powder to keep plenty of powder and choices in stock and readily available. I used Eastwood for 95% of the powder but also just used the powder coat store for 5 different candy colors.

Does any heat come out through the roof where the lights are does any heat escape through there?
@15brucet3 жыл бұрын
Yes some but I stuffed the pockets inside with insulation and also have a layer that I sat on the top so it stays cold

Is the heater connected to the thermostat?
@15brucet4 жыл бұрын
Nope there is a thermocouple in the oven that runs to a pid controller and thats what sends power to the outlet the heater is plugged into
