This is great, Lindsay! Thanks for sharing a lovely frugal project. Definitely something to try. I've got a big box of those cheap office brads, which would be great for mini albums because they are nice and long and would go through quite a thickness. With the pearls, you could also mount them on large sequins or stick them onto ribbon... Loads of ideas! Time to put my new glue gun to some different uses! Shoshi

Thankyou Frugal. I went back and tried again and basically because the alcohol is the same as blending it produces a more subtle effect So i did it on back and front of acetate and then dried it and it worked that way so not completely wasted maybe!! Thankyou again

hi weird question. can I coat them with just clear coat and they be shiny and clear? I have some glue stick that are really clear but nervous that they may be cloudy after they dry.... any advice on how to keep it clear? I wanted to make sure this was something I liked before trying resin.. Lol

@cheryl1914 I have tried it but with no luck. I think you could try denatured alcohol and a very strong dye but I do not think it would be a great savings. I would recommend buying denatured alcohol (it is the same stuff as copic blending ink, get it at the hardware store cheap) and some basic color alcohol inks then you can mix all the colors you want. Use the alcohol to make lighter shades. Piniata brand ink from Jaquard had some nice pure colors that mix well.

I am working ,y way through most of your channel and ran across this one. Good info. I do not know if it is just my computer or KZbin but the audio signs off before the video ends. The audio and visual portions do not match through portions of this one. Certainly not a huge issue since I followed your tutorial without any problem but I wanted you to know in case it happens on newer tutorials. It would be a shame if your hard work was lost somehow. Thank you for all you do.

Thankyou for sharing this. Have you done a video on making alcohol inks. Have tried others and it didn't work. Here in England we use rubbing alcohol and then added ink but it hasn't worked the same. Thought you definately know what your doing so have you done this?? Thanks so much

Hi! This video was exactly what I was looking for, thank you! I do have one question though. Is there something I can use to make the drops less clear and a rich, darker color? I plan on using Lego silicone molds for my sons birthday and wanted them to be bright colored. Would I just add more drops of alcohol ink? Thanks in advance!

+Stacey Hadley if the sticks are clear the drops should be clear too. You can also get the clear shapes in the floral section of the craft store cheaply
