So, now that it has been installed for a while, how well does the fireplace work?

Awesome! The heat output is great and it looks fantastic when running. It adds warmth to the room both physically and mentally. Thanks for watching and asking.

Thanks for the video. I was wondering, what is the type of router bit called that you show at 2:19? Thanks!
@davidegg223 жыл бұрын
It is called a Flush-trim bit with V groove. This allows the face frame to be a little oversize and this bit will trim it back and place a small v groove 1/2 on the face frame and 1/2 on the side material. That way you get a perfect match and a nice accent line. www.amazon.com/Freud-Flush-Groove-Shank-48-112/dp/B00004T7IX Thanks for watching and asking. Dave.

Will this work with a propane gas logs
@davidegg222 жыл бұрын
Well, only once. After the fireplace burns to the floor the house would be next. This is a SIMULATED fireplace run by electricity. So, no, it WILL NOT work with propane gas logs. You would need a special gas firebox and certified venting for gas. Thanks for asking. Dave.

Where's the instructions?
@davidegg222 жыл бұрын
Watch the video. No instructions required, just have fun with your own build. Dimensions are totally dependent on the type of electronics you add to this basic cabinet. Use your own choice of wood and finish to suite you. This video is "how I built" and not a detailed step-by-step instruction of the build. Use the video as a starting point to be creative with your own project. Thanks for watching and asking. Dave.
