I have a service engine light on my 07 Nissan Altima. A code relating to the catalytic converter threshold. Should I take it off and clean the inside or do it like you did? Does it smell like rotten eggs?

Thank for liking my video. It doesn't matter how long you idle it for, but those 2 codes you are getting can be the downstream 02 sensors malfunctioning. But just go ahead and clean the catalytic converter and see what happens.

Hi bro. I washed my car's catalytic converter with carbon cleaner and erased the existing 29f4 and 29f5 error codes, but cods returned after 20km. I also measured the pre-catalyst pressure which is 0 psi but the codes are still there. Also a month ago, I changed the car spark plugs. What do you think could be the problem?

To be honest, sometimes cleaning is not gonna help it because the catalytic converter is no good. It's probably way to far gone. So it doesn't matter how much you clean it, the codes will still come back. The only thing I would say you can try is CATACLEAN. Pour it in your gas tank and run the car for a while and see if that helps, if not you will have to replace the Catalytic Converter. I hope that helps you.

IT CAN BE A LOT OF THINGS. YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND TRY THIS METHOD- CATACLEAN, IT'S A CATALYTIC CONVERTER CLEANER. IT CAN BE A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY, SO GO AHEAD AND TRY TO CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY ALSO .SO TRY CRC THROTTLE BODY & AIR INTAKE CLEANER. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS YOU. Like I said it could be multiple things. So I would advise you to get a scan tool, even though your check light is not on there is a scan tool that can read all the modules. It's called ANCEL BM500 All System 0BD2 Scanner. Better to scan it first so you can get an idea what it is before you spend a lot of money.

Try removing the o2 sensors and turn on car it’s gonna be loud but if your car runs good without them then it’s probably cat

Try replacing or cleaning MAF sensor if that is bad or dirty it will make your car run horribly your oxygen to air ratio will cause rough idle and sluggish conditions
