YoOoOo… This has been a real pain. Not gonna get into why I had to buy 3 engine support bars that I’ve YET to receive. But seeing that I can just bump up the engine without dropping the subframe is a game changer. But if you could explain why it’s ok to see smoke after installation, in context would be great! Thanks in advance. Good lookin out on the much needed content. 💪🏽✌🏽

When you touch and handle the cats, they get grease and whatever else on em. When you start it up it burns off. That's the smoke you see. Thanks for watching

Good job, but just for future reference both the front and rear cats come out from the top of the engine after they are unbolted.

I bought the 2 cats because I start to have issues no codes except when I'm going full throttle the check engine light comes on and it shows a message in the Idrive about "engine louds may damage catalytic" I already replaced spark plugs and the ignition coils but is still doing the same and also when I give it a lot of gas on the highway I can hear a a sound like a rattle noise coming from underneath like twisted cans so I'll be replacing this myself because a shop wants to charge me 1200 for this job!

Mines did same but engine light started blinking and extreme engine rumble with clacking rattle ….I scanned and got same codes …..only down side barely could find decent Cats for 550i it looks like it’s go HARD or go HOME

you should have cleaned the cats first before attempting to buy a aftermarket cat due to the fact that an 02 sensor that came with the kit will die in a year and you'll have to buy a new O2 sensors the reason why it dies is because of the carbon buildup you need to clean the catalytic converter before buying a new one I'll just buy the original one which cost more money

I don't clean my client's cats at all. I just replace them and o2 sensors. Works anytime ive done it. Check engine light never comes back for Catalytic converter again. Satisfy client. He hasn't had any issues since. Thanks for watching

@@ThePullUpKing you know you could have removed the cats from up above instead of on the bottom that's what I did with mine and I have an 04 the only problem is is when you buy an aftercat or an aftermarket cat not original OEM the O2 sensors that came with the cat will die eventually in a year to two or a year and a half before you can replace them and if he burns oil then then they're going to get dirty even faster and couple more misfires it was a nice video

​@@ThePullUpKing so did you keep the original cat converters if you take it to a scrap yard they'll give you $400 for both of them that's how much I got mine for in Connecticut
