I followed along with your video and it worked for me a couple months ago, but now dialing in 9-9-1 isn't giving me two flashes! Does this mean the remote itself is busted? I honestly hope that's the issue because I'll just get another one then, it'll be such a bummer if the VHS/DVD hybrid is the problem.

Ok, I've got my DVD player programmed so it will turn on and off using Directv remote, but I cannot get the DVD to play! Actually I programmed it using AV1, so I will try using AV2 and see if that helps. If not, I'll be back.
