Wow, you made that look so easy. One day I'm going to learn to sew too. What type of sewing machine would you recommend for a beginner that wants to make simple pieces?

A circle skirt. I would say buy a machine that has a computer but only runs around $300. That will give you everything you need to start and scissors, matching thread, and tailors chalk. Let me know what you want to do because I have a feeling you will get addicted to it.
