Loved this so much. I'll try the rug hack. Can you do a H&M Home hacks vid next? They have lovely relatively cheap home decor but the designs are really simple/ plain which is perfect for a minimalist aesthetic but also leaves lots of room for creative upcycling. I think you'd do such a great job on their baskets/ rugs/ vases etc.

I really love the pillow! I also want to thank you for the floor pillow suggestion you made several months ago. I ended up giving my son and family four of the (size 20 x 20) because they often entertain watching movies with their projector. The best part is my three grandsons play with them so much, especially making forts with them!!

Drew, just oil up you glass where it’s coming in contact with the cement. It’ll pop right out once the cement is completely dry.

I can understand it being annoying to some people, especially non native speakers, but i didn’t even notice until he mentioned it in one video. I get why he does it though, or at least why I do it myself. Love the rug idea! Quick question: have you ever found that the paint on the rug gives off? Like does it stain on poofs/other rugs layered on top of it?

Yes it does! Infact I always use fabric paint, never spray paint. If it’s an intricate design that you have to do, so you prefer spray paint, I recommend to put a transparent fabric paint on top. 😁

Great tip on the fabric paint. What if I spill something could I gently clean it with water and soap?

Angela if you put a good layer of transparent fabric paint on top of your design, absolutely! It makes it almost waterproof. I actually have one rug, that is made of a rope material, and I can wash it in the washing machine because I have used fabric paint and transparent fabric paint on top. It becomes a lot more problematic if you have a “fluffy” rug, because it’s a nightmare to put the transparent fabric paint on it, so I recommend rope kind material always 😁

I love the end result on the upcycles you did. Gorgeous. That said I have a challenge for you. While Ikea has a lot of stores they usually cluster in major metropolitan areas. That leaves a huge chunk of us living way to far to head to Ikea and their shipping prices are stupidly high. Now I admit I really don't care much for Walmart but it's everywhere. Even in the smaller cities. Targets start i the mid size cities. I would love to see you do some projects using items from Walmart because it's accessible to everyone and they offer free shipping as long as you spend something like $35. So there it is for you.. a really big challenge!
