Got the same raft this year and plan to add a similar 3rd seat set up so thanks for the video. The raft served me well this summer with lower than usual water here in Mn. Great job, would love to see a clip of it on the water fully loaded though!

I will get one up. I had a day in the water with Mans best friend, and she was loving every minute of it.

Man absolutely love the setup, you're a impressive dude! I'm thinking about buying this raft. To me it appears to be basically the same raft as the flycraft that sells for over 4k!

Thank you for the compliment. Third year and have had not 1 issue. From skinny water to Lake Erie she has had many miles under her.

Hey awesome video. I’ve been debating between this raft and a Bris 13’. Have you taken this boat down a river yet? I’m curious how well it handles/ floats with a 3rd person and the extra gear and larger frame. I saw online it’s recommended for 2 people or 650lbs. I don’t plan on taking more than 3 people no matter which raft I choose, but I also don’t want it to be a struggle to row or sit too low in the water when fully loaded. Building a frame and adding accessories will be a winter project for me so trying to get this all sorted out pretty soon so I have something to do! I would greatly appreciate your insight. Seriously great video and amazing work my friend.

It Rows and Tracks great, using a Honda 2.3 HP. I have run Class 2 Rapids and Had it out on Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. Fantastic value and great size .

@@bobowhite11 Hey buddy, I appreciate the response. The boat is freaking awesome. Just watched the new vid with the drone too. Over the winter I ended up getting a 12ft Bris white water raft. I DIY’d a frame and based a lot of what I did off your video. I still have some things to add including a motor mount and anchor mount/ system. I searched the web intensively to find someone likeminded DIYing a raft and I can 100% say your video is the only one that I found to be exactly what I was looking for. I’m a subscriber now! Best of luck this year on the water. I’m in Pennsylvania, otherwise I’d say we should get the rafts out together sometime! Lol

Hi just wondering your thoughts on durability. How long have you had it and do you think it’s gonna hold up for a long time if taken care of?

Third year and not 1 issue so far.

Also wondering how you bent the aluminum and am very interested in the blue prints if you have them
@bobowhite117 ай бұрын
I started with PVC Pipe. Heating a 4 foot piece up with a heat gun. Then simply "hand bending" it, while placing it on the boat. After bending it I made the entire aft frame and rack out of PVC. Once I was happy I took it all apart and measured everything including the ANGLE OF THE BEND. IT IS 23.5 DEGREES, AND CAN VERY FROM 22 TO 25 AND WORK FINE. .

Have you had it out on the water with a third person yet? How did it handle?

Fantastic!! She motors, and tracks straight while rowing also!

What oars and length do you use, just got the rowing frame for my 13' HD kaboat and looking for recommendations.
@bobowhite117 ай бұрын
I use 8 footers. But here is the formula to get the exact length correct the 1st time! Measure the distance between BOTH oar sockets. Divide this # by 2, and then add 2 to this number. This Sum will tell you your ''Inboard Loom Length''. Take this Inboard Loom Length and Multiply it by 25, then Divide this by 7. The Sum will be the ...''Appropriate Oar length'' in inches for your Loom Length.

@@bobowhite11 thanks! I used a similar calculation but came up w 7' and it seemed too short because the raft sits high in the water. I came up w 7.9' and that is more like it 👍

What shaft length is your Honda outboard?
@bobowhite114 ай бұрын
Short shaft. Works like a charm, no need for the long shaft.

What did you use to bend the aluminum?
@bobowhite117 ай бұрын
I used a Pipe Bender from Harbor Freight... here www.harborfreight.com/12-ton-hydraulic-pipe-bender-32888.html
@bobowhite117 ай бұрын
The corre t angle for the bend is 22 .5 degrees! I mis-printed 13 in a comment, while Meaning to round it to 23 degrees!
