If I need my molding in steel or alloy with a high precision of um(micrometer) where can I order it but not cost a fortune?

Not yet. I’m thinking of it. It’s still in progress. I’m making another adapter for it to use motors instead of drill. Because drill is not designed to work in long duration. It will overheat
@Arek_R.2 жыл бұрын
@@jintat87 No no leave the drill, it's a good idea, regarding the overheating you just need go slower or use stronger drill. Good drill can run for long time . Also a lot of people already have drills.

How did you build the injection machine?

@Arek_R.2 жыл бұрын
You need microscopic air vents around your molding area (usually on sharpest features). You also need to get hold of the aluminium shell (just like the one dude from busterbeagle3d has) for the resin mold to provide even distribution of force to avoid flashing.
@RTCDigitalS2 жыл бұрын
I've seen those shells seems impossible to find them in bigger sizes, What did you mean by sharpest features? Thanks!

@@jintat87 Thanks. I have one question. What are the most frequently use? I have plenty of PVC granules, but I can not do anything sensible. There is probably a calcium-zinc stabilizer. And so hard to get and dispense in such an amateur device. I will depend on the material for eg handles, enclosures, etc. Have a nice day.

I like that we have a lot of the same ideas! Likely inspired from Craftman as well :D I'm injection molding with resin molds too. I found that the top of the resin tends to crack a bunch when you put a hot nozzle on it. To compensate for this I used a tiny aluminum funnel from amazon to protect the resin. I also used silicon spray for mold release agent. I used the strongest resin I could find to make my mold but it still kept chipping. I feel like the mold needs a bit of flex to it. I think I'll try the resin you used and see how it works. Thanks for the video. Message me if you want to trade ideas!
