Haha I laughed when you mentioned measuring "Gretchen style". Ya! That's what I do too 😂 I am really impressed with your crafting skills! You are clearly at ease with all materials. Your work is incredible! It's fun watching your technique and how you use the different tools. I appreciate when expert crafters like you demonstrate or talk about favorite tools and materials- (like glue 🤣) if you ever are interested in making a video like that. If hinges make you crazy, what hope is there for the rest of us?! Your doors are incredibly cute! 🥰✨

Thank you 😊 I have been crafting for over 30 years now 😬 with so many different techniques and materials and now I’m putting all my knowledge into this channel 😁 to be honest, those were the first doors I ever made in my life, I never made miniatures doors before😅 I do have a video on how to make your own home made glue 😆 because I was using so much of it I needed to figure out how to stretch it to the max 😂

May i suggest using leather for hinges. Great video.

Thank you Marilyn for the tip, actually I was thinking fabric, but leather might be better and lasts much longer depending on the width of the door and frame 😊

Your doors turned out so cute! I don’t like hinges either. Years ago when I put my gnomes house door on I had the same problem. You feel like the nightmare will never end. I ended up not using the hinges.

Thank you 😊, you don’t know this about me 🤭 but I’m very stubborn and when I set my mind on something I get it done one way or the other, it’s a blessing and a curse at the same time 😅I’m happy I figured out a way to secure them in the end 🥳

So fantastic! I've been pondering how to make the windows in my gnomehome since they're not the standard issue squares or rectangles (I really should have thought about it before I began but too late now hahaha). Do you mind if I adapt your window techniques for my build? Your doors are so adorable! I had trouble with those small nails too, I ended up using straight pins which I cut short enough with wire cutters.
