Great job dude. To reset it. Hold the unlock and lock down until light flashes 3 times. Then press unlock for one flash. That's it

Thank you very much. My 74yo friend was freaking out bcuz his key fob stopped working. (He’s a non-mechanical worry wart). I told him the battery was likely dead. This gal (me) fixed it for him in about 2 minutes. Thanks again! ✌🏼

Had no idea i could just replace the battery.... Mitsubishi dealer wanted to charge me $350 for new keyfobs!!! Thank u for doing this....I haven't used the buttons on my keyfob for YEARS cuz i refused to pay $350 for a replacement, just so i didn't have to use my key to open the doors....hopefully i can replace the battery and be good. Thanks again!!!

Be careful when separating the black outer cover. The black buttons are all part of the same molded piece but the red panic button is a separate part. It’s tiny and very easy to lose if the buttons go flying if/when the cover “pops” open. Ask me how I know! My friendly advice: do it over a table and not in and around an area where they could easily get lost if airborne

I popped mine open too hard and the “lock” button has separated from the “unlock and “trunk” button group. Also, my battery works intermittently when the remote is cold. Don’t recall buying a new one and the battery and terminals are ok. Should I change it anyways?
@KeyFobRob Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't buy a new one. If anything, I'd just buy new buttons for a couple bucks on Amazon: amzn.to/483WDzx A lot of fobs don't operate correctly if they are left in the cold. Just cup your fob in your hand and breath on it a couple times and it should be back to normal.

I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant in 2016. Dealer only had one key. Fob never worked. They gave me the run around about it so I left it alone. I recently ordered a blank key with the exact fob on it. How do I program it? Do I need a professional.

It had gone a looong time without functional unlock/lock buttons so I got a new shell and a new battery for my key and I cannot for the life of me get it to work. No amount or sequence of holding and releasing buttons has worked. It just keeps flashing. Can anyone help?

Ace hardware store sometimes has the empty fobs you can put your fobs computer chip and battery into but they are about $20 or so, so yeah likely cheaper on Amazon

Examples: a CR 2032 is 20 mm (0.787 in.) in diameter and 3.2 mm (0.126 in.) thick, while a CR 1620 on the other hand, is 16 mm in diameter and 2.0 mm thick. The CR 2032 is more powerful with the same 3V. I will open it to see the original battery. (Canada 2008 Lancer ES 2L).

CR1620 vs 1632. Has anyone tried? last longer? 16mm dia and 3.2mm vs 2.0mm thick is what those numbers mean. for all CR button batteries for future reference. Mitsubishi i-MiEV driver reporting in. 12y old and still going strong. not the driver, the car. :P
