Welcome to Vanity Bitty!
Finally the smaller kitchen cabinet is modified to be counter height and for all intents and purposes, is done with only some minor finishing touches left to do. Let me know what you think!
I’m doing a no build build camper conversion for my 2023 Ram Promaster 1500 118”. I’m getting there but not quite done yet!

Your renovated kitchenette is absolutely gorgeous. It reminds me of an antique stereo console. Love it!

OMG I love it. It’s ok if there is mistakes. The OG cabinet is beautifully worn so what you built really goes with it nicely. Well done!

I love the tile front, so pretty. I say live with it awhile & see if you want to continue it on the sides. Either way, it really looks good. I'd take the path of least trouble when it comes to the water line. I say go ahead & drill a 2nd hole next to the 1st. Your faucet may cover bothers holes. Then you can leave the edge trim on top of the cabinet to keep things from slipping off. But if the edge trim bothers you, take it off, then u don't need to drill another hole for the water line. Just live with it for a bit, then decide, no rush.

Your cabinet is so beautiful ❤️. My vote on the tile is yes, take it all the way around. My vote on the sink, go deeper not bigger to contain the splashing. I love the trim, please don't remove it. Maybe you can make the hole just a tiny bit bigger to move the spigot over. I'm so happy to see this all come together for you. Also... The white tile is very nice but is it heat resistant? I can guarantee you that a day is coming when you will need a spot to hurry up and put that hot pan down. Stainless steel is heat resistant, easy to clean, will not stain and very light weight.

@@seabliss22 Great advice! I do have the silicone mat that will be on the top of the cabinet if I’m cooking but you make a very good point, and more reason to go with stainless! Thank you ☺️
@seabliss22
@seabliss22 Күн бұрын
There are even stainless steel cutting boards that you can pull out and lay down when cooking. They have non skid bottoms. That would be the path of least resistance and will keep your top beautiful

Love your cabinet, I think if you put that front tiles on sides it would look spectacular. And if a stainless steel top on you could use that for a cutting board, easy to clean as well. Love your building ideas

Thank you so much. I love the idea of stainless on top and might do that sooner than later. I want to find magnetic stainless though, i think some is and some isn’t. But yeah! And it’s heat resistant.

Oh yeah. Don't put that little door or wall inside. Maybe take out the other half that's in there so you have more open storage. Now you have a longer width for something like those campfire sandwich irons may fit. I'd leave the top just as you have it. It's beautiful.
@VanityBitty

@@georgiacorey954 Thank you!! Well whatever I put there will pop off or slide open if I want to put longer items but when not, I just don’t want things to roll in there and have to fish under the sink retrieving it. But you make a very good point. If there is some utensil I keep there permanently, it would stop anything from rolling in!
