I enjoy watching your videos. When you make stuff somehow everything fits together and stays where they are supposed to. Such a great planner. I enjoy cooking myself but it comes to making things like this, I am a total idiot. Hoe we can have a coffee when I visit Japan next time( I am a frequent visitor to japan)

Nice! This is similar to how I built the work benches and tool storage in my garage. I like wood to the conventional metal storage. Pulls moisture away from the tools and prevents them from rusting. Id also sand the top before staining, I also don't like exposed mending plates I like dovetail and cross lapping. Its a little more time consuming, makes for a longer lasting construction. But we also have far more room and diy stores for this here in the states for wood work.
I am now inspired to learn a lot of things now. Keep it Up!

Very nice work! It look fantastic, especially with the dowels and varnish. I'm going to have to pick up one of those saw guides, they're super handy and look like they'll work with my Gyokucho saws!
I'm a new subscriber and was drawn to the work bench in your videos. And then I stumbled on this. It's fantastic that you crafted your own! Keep up the great videos!

Love your videos! LOVE THEM! Could I ask you to make some type of quiche? Also, where are you buying the terrain? (small or large house) Thanks for the [no sound videos] they helped me procrastinate and feel good about it
@OscarScheepstra_Artemis_8 жыл бұрын
I think that it would be easier if you cut the dowels first, making them a bit smaller in length than the holes. Then you would just have to push them with a hammer (or a mallet). I think that it would be faster that way, and you wouldn't have to rub the saw against the surface of the table on each and every dowel.
@stratocactus7 жыл бұрын
But it's very difficult to cut a round dowel and have a perfect 90° between the top and the side. So when you insert it in the hole, it's not perfectly flush.
@OscarScheepstra_Artemis_7 жыл бұрын
Julien Sorosac Good point... Maybe he could also have cut them slightly larger and then just sanded everything.
@stratocactus7 жыл бұрын
Good point... BUT (^^) the dowel's end grain is exposed, which is not the case for the surrounding wood. So when you sand the dowel, you will likely round the top. When you cut it, it's really flush and clean (espacially with those little japanese saws). (Sorry if my English is not fluent).
