Kojic acid dipalmitate is soluble in oil, so you cannot use glycerin. You’ll have to use oil if it’s kojic acid dipalmitate. You can dissolve kojic acid in water but kojic acid dipalmitate is different. The oil will get cloudy after you dissolve Kojic acid dipalmitate in it. Only 2% kojic acid dipalmitate. No kojic acid. kojic acid dipalmitate is a more stable form of kojic acid. Kojic acid dipalmitate is soluble in oil. Thank u so much for your appreciation.

If it gets dissolved completely, then you don’t need it. But in general KAD is not easy to dissolve. In those cases you might need isopropyl myristate. 💕

@@Lifeaddictions mine after mixing and double boiling with isopropyl myristate , cooking it down and then adding to the oil , the transparent oil turned out cloudy and has some shine . I'm not sure if the kojic acid dipalmitate is supposed to took like this after dissolving in the oil. So asked.

Mine, after dissolving in the oil in heat, gets cloudy and after a few hours it separates with the kojic crowding towards the top of the bottle.

Did you add isopropyl myristate and heat it on correct temperature? After dissolving it once, if that happens simply shake the bottle before application. If you don’t like to do that,simple dissolve it in half of the amount of oil and then mix it in a lotion. Heating the oil on correct temperature is important.

I doubt how well that will work. Castor oil is too thick. However, you can give it a try, as kojic acid dipalmitate is supposed to dissolve in any kind of oil.

It's been 3 weeks now. How's the effect of kojic acid dipalmitate on your face. Did u see any whitening effect? What is ur skin type? Heard that isopropyl myristate wil clog pores and cause acne . How did it work for u?

I have been using it on and off. Working quite well. Almost every skincare products contains some amount of comedogenic ingredients, even though the final products might be non-comedogenic. A small percentage of a comedogenic ingredient shouldn’t clog pores. However, everyone’s skin is different. Don’t use it in the oil if not needed. If the KAD is dissolving in just oil,no need to add isopropyl myristate to it.

@@Lifeaddictions I tried to dissolve kojic acid dip in grape seed oil. It dissolved well. But after adding the solution to the remaining oil and bottling it, kojic acid started separating. So I ordered isopropyl myristate , it dissolved well. But didn't use it on face after hearing that isopropyl myristate will clog pores.

I generally like to use it with fractionated coconut oil, no isopropyl mryistate. I dissolve it well in the oil and just shake it well before using. Shaking mixes it quite well after the dissolving process. But in case you don’t want to do that or use isopropyl myristate, just mix it in lotion after dissolving in oil.

Proper temperature is required. It’ll dissolve. You might require isopropyl myristate for better results. But in most cases just proper temperature will work. You can mix it in a cream after dissolving in oil.
