Hi, Tara! Congratulations on the amazing content! I would like to add up with something important regarding pH when formulating with niacinamide. The optimum solution stability is at a pH 6. Otherwise, It will hydrolyze and form nicotinic acid at higher or lower pH, which still has some vitamin B3 activity but can result in skin irritation. Greetings from Germany.

I’m amazed. I first came across your video on sterilizing and disinfecting. When you said you made homemade” skincare products, I immediately thought you were talking about doing “Pinterest Bella Thorne” type of products, but after viewing your other videos, that wasn’t the case. You know your chemistry and I love that you provide that information in your videos. I’m currently majoring in biotechnology and watching all of this makes me want to go into manufacturing❤️

Go for organic expeller pressed vegetable glycerin, if you can find it. Vegetable based oils are processed with heavy chemicals like hexane to extract the oils from the plants.

Can we use any natural gum like acacia or xanthum gum instead of hyaluronic acid for thickening

@brz_nuts2 жыл бұрын
Ohh, HA doesn’t help with brightening. Is overrated, in my opinion. It can help, depending very much of its molecular weight, environmental humidity and whether you use other acids in your skin care routine, to only hydrate your skin. But often times it doesn’t add any benefit to the recipe other than thickening, very lightly, the texture. Xanthan gum would do the job pretty well here I believe. ❤️
